Clinical & Continuing Education
CCO offers several clinical learning opportunities related to cancer and chronic kidney disease for healthcare providers and medical students. These include free online continuing education courses, as well as studentship and residency programs.
Open courses on First Nation, Inuit and Métis culture are also available. Some courses are CME-accredited or Mainpro credit courses.

Earn Mainpro credits with these open online courses on Aboriginal relationship and cultural competency through Cancer Care Ontario’s E-Learning website.

Vascular Access Education Program
This self-directed learning program provides nurses with ongoing education in vascular access creation, maturation and cannulation.
Cancer Care
Harold E. Johns Studentship
This 4-month studentship encourages undergraduate students to pursue studies and careers in the field of medical physics in oncology. Up to 14 awards are offered each year across Ontario.
Medical Physics Residency Program
This residency program is designed to train residents on applied clinical physics skills in radiation oncology, which are required to work in a cancer treatment centre.
Synoptic Pathology Reporting Education
These CME-accredited sessions allow Canadian pathologists to review changes to new protocols with content experts in a practice setting.
